Granville Ohio
Granville Ohio is a quaint, New England style community, located in Licking County Ohio. Newark Ohio borders it on the east and Pataskala Ohio borders it on the west. Granville Village has a permanent population of around 3200 and a total population of around 5100 when Denison University is in session.
Granville, Ohio was founded in 1805 by New Englanders from Granville Massachusettes and Granby, Connecticut. Granville has retained it's small town charm and it is characterized by it's wide tree lined main street. It has kept it's wonderfully warm feel by it's quaint,locally owned retail shops and restaurants. Granville has many Historical Homes, as well as, the original Churches located right on main street.Granville prides itself in its well attended, Downtown Activities, as well as, the many diverse Clubs and Attractions it has every year. Granville is very pro-thinking in its rich history that the downtown, is not only a gathering place for it's residents, but a gathering place for the whole county. Granville seems to glide from one Civic Event, right to the next, without missing a beat.
